Rural Childhood Cancer Patient and Survivor Risk for Financial Difficulties: A Systematic Literature Review
This literature review is a summary of research related to the financial difficulties families of children with cancer undergo. I completed this for a Research Methods and Designs class, but the topic of childhood cancer is relevant to other work I have done regarding childhood cancer awareness. This piece demonstrates my ability to:
- find peer-reviewed research articles using electronic databases
- summarize key information from research articles in their respective fields
- write for an academic context
By completing this review I was able to demonstrate with peer-reviewed research an issue I personally know to be a significant difficulty to families caring for children with cancer. As I move forward in my career I hope to raise awareness for children with cancer and their families in order to ease their physical and psychosocial difficulties.
