Prostate Cancer and Metabolic Syndrome Presentation

This presentation is a summary of the research I performed on prostate cancer and metabolic syndrome as a Harvard T. H. Chan Summer Cancer Epidemiology and Cancer Prevention Intern. My research partner Jesse Valasek and I presented this information as a culmination of our research efforts to Harvard T. H. Chan Epidemiology Department Heads and fellow Harvard Epidemiology Interns. This piece demonstrates my ability to:

• Translate and present complex health information into an easily understood format
• Summarize key research findings from epidemiology and public health articles

Completing this presentation allowed me to learn more about a specific field of epidemiology I was previously unfamiliar with, and I was able to gain a better understanding of what a career as an epidemiologist would look like.
